The Association shall represent and defend the interests of European importers of steel stranded ropes and cables originating in third countries in all trade and customs matters affecting their business activities, whether at national or European Community level.
EWRIA was founded on 29.01.1999 in Cologne, Germany.
Its members are located in seven european countries and currently represent more than 63% of the total imports of steel wire ropes into the european community.
